Sunday Southern Roasted Chicken

Sunday Dinner Perfection

Juicy roasted chicken seasoned with TruLee's signature Southern spices for a meal the whole family will love.

Ingredients

  • 1 whole chicken (4–5 lbs)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons TruLee All Purpose Seasoning
  • 1 tablespoon TruLee Grandma's Pot Veggie Seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon TruLee Sassy Spicy Seasoning (optional)
  • 1 onion, quartered
  • 2 celery stalks
  • Fresh rosemary or thyme (optional)

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F.
  2. Wash chicken and Pat the chicken dry with paper towels.
  3. Rub the chicken with olive oil.
  4. Season generously all over and inside of cavity with All Purpose Seasoning and Grandma's Pot Veggie Seasoning.
  5. Sprinkle Sassy Spicy Seasoning on top if you like a little heat .
  6. Place onion and celery inside the cavity.
  7. Roast for about 1 hour 30 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F.
  8. Let rest for 10–15 minutes before carving.

Brush the chicken with melted butter during the last 20 minutes of roasting for crispy golden skin.
